The Senior Living Sales Counselor reports to the Director of Marketing and is responsible for sales that meet or exceed expectations, with a primary focus on independent living. This position cultivates relationships with prospective residents and/or influencers through a person-centered sales approach.
- Meets and exceeds personal sales goals
- Embraces and uses person-centered sales methodologies to work with prospective residents and/or influencers
- Actively participates and collaborates in daily and weekly planning sessions to strategize on next steps for prospective residents
- Effectively responds to new inquiries in a timely manner
- Takes ownership of new inquiries and cultivates them with a consistent follow up cadence, to include scheduling and conducting tours, executing creative follow up and home visits
- Promptly enters and maintains data in WelcomeHome, according to best practices established by The Sarah Community
- Works with prospective residents to collect and process all required paperwork
- Ensures that each apartment is “move in ready” for each new move in
- Actively participates and collaborates in team meetings
- Represents the community at special events or programs, as requested
- Participates in the planning and coordination of events, as requested
- Works with the Executive Director, Director of Marketing and Facilities Director to ensure that The Sarah Community makes a positive first impression
- Performs other duties as required

- Strong work ethic and willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs
- Proficient in MS Office and PC skills
- Experience using the WelcomeHome CRM is desired
Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
- Two (2) years sales and marketing experience with on-site experience in an independent living community (preferred)
- Demonstrated strong sales closing skills
